Becoming a game reviewer

People always ask me how much I get paid to review games, and also how can they get into it? I usually give quite a straightforward response really; "no and start reviewing". You don’t have to have a fancy website or 1 million fans on Facebook to review games, though it does help you make money. By practicing reviewing games, listing to others, commenting and sharing posts from other gamers, you can build up a bit of a reputation. That’s what I’ve done and it’s only taken a year or so. On the money side of things, I don’t do it for the cash, but I know people who do, and to get to a point where people pay for your opinion, you need to create a website with fantastic content that keeps them coming back for more.
